Ixchel: Rainbow
THE STORY
Light and shadow. Ixchel (ee-shell) is a Mayan fertility goddess and goddess of the moon. Also known as Lady Rainbow, she brought the rain to nourish the crops. Ixchel found the courage to leave her jealous and abusive husband, the fiery Sun god, becoming invisible when he came to look for her. Ixchel encourages us to face the shadow side of our lives, and helps us assert ourselves fully in the face of challenges that would diminish our sense of self. Made with rainbow moonstone, amethyst and Thai Hill Tribe silver; finished with a sterling silver magnet clasp.
